Wednesday September 18, 2013:  The annual United Way Chili Cook-off was held at the Westgate Mall in Brainerd.

Hungry visitors paid $7 each to sample all the chili they could eat from 30 some organizations. 

Of course, it had a Paul Bunyan theme.

The fun thing about chili is that no two recipes are the same.

Commercial and civic organizations volunteered their time and chili to raise money for United Way charity.

Some were very interesting characters.

There was plenty of chili to go around....for an hour before it ran out.

Lots of happy people attended this event.

Yes, the Paul Bunyan and Norseman dress were the order of the day.

Even Paul Bunyan was there.

He delighted kids and adults alike.

Steve Kohls, photographer from the Brainerd Dispatch newspaper, was snapping photos.

He does excellent work.
