The life and times of Mark and Paula Persons

Saturday, March 9, 2013:

A spring snowstorm dumped about 8 inches of heavy wet snow in the Brainerd area.

It even stopped snowing for a while, going to rain, before turning back into snow.

Mark went out to see what Riverside Drive looked like.

Not a pretty sight.

Then a snowplow came by.

Mark had to jump onto a snow bank in order to avoid the plow.

He caught this photo on the plow's return trip to do the other side.

An exciting time...Mark got a real unwanted adrenaline rush from this event.

Good for his heart though.

The heavy snow stuck to trees everywhere.

It was a real winter wonderland sight for a while.

Deep Diver Paula arrived at the Minneapolis/St. Paul airport about midnight Saturday night and then drove home after getting her luggage.

She arrived in Brainerd at 5:45 AM.  Paula was greeted by Josie the cat who was as glad to see her and Paula was happy to see Josie.

In case you missed it, you can learn more about Paula's scuba diving trip to Little Cayman Island starting at: http://gilbertlodge.com/2013/03-02-13-paula-flight.html

There are seven episodes on this blog devoted to that trip.

After just four hours of sleep and something to eat, Paula decided that Mark had been having too much fun clearing snow half-way through the snowstorm.

She got the snow thrower out and took care of the rest.

Paula is a ball of energy and rarely turns down a challenge.

Quote of the day:  Glad to have Paula home safe and sound.   Mark    < Back to previous story Ahead to next story >
