June 6, 2010:  A turtle showed up to lay eggs at Gilbert Lodge.  This one was most of a foot long.

Darrold Lingwall and his friend Clara Johnson stopped by to visit from Garrison, MN.  Darrold is Paula's cousin and is part owner of the Auto Parts store in Garrison.

The Grand Fireplace at Gilbert Lodge felt good at the end of the day.

Chef Paula made her version of a German potato salad.  It has red potatoes which were cooked and chopped, fresh onions, miniature tomatoes, olive oil, feta cheese, Greek Kalamata olives, and some secret ingredients.  Not very fattening, but good tasting.

Combined with green beans and tender Barb-B-Q pork slices, it was terrific.
