Visitors often ask to see the Tech Room where the power comes into Gilbert Lodge and where the computer servers are.

These are the equipment racks where the Internet comes in and where a 24-port computer network switch distributes data to two servers and other machines.  There is a backup switch in case of equipment failure.

The bottom of the left rack has an APC 3000VA uninterruptible power supply, which powers all of the computers in Gilbert Lodge keeping them going during power bumps and until the automatic backup generator starts to cover a power outage.

Main electrical panels.  The left-most panel is for uninterruptible power, which is distributed to computers and other vital systems throughout the facility.  There are two 200-Amp load centers with wiring going out the tops.  To the right of that is a Kohler automatic transfer switch, which starts the backup generator during a power outage and brings it online to most circuits.  The exception is off-peak, which is used for supplemental heat and one of the hot water heaters.
